After the return of Shrimaan Shrimati on the small screen as Shrimaan Shrimati Phir Se, Star Plus' much awaited sitcom, is all set to hit the television screens from April 14. After a hiatus of 13 years when fans were eagerly waiting for the return of their beloved show, a shocking news arrives, and it is equally saddening. Before people could see the first episode on the small screen, rumours are rife that it has already been leaked on YouTube. While everything seemed positive, this unfortunate incident has really left the makers in deep shock. Many a times we have seen instances when major films get leaked before the movie hits the big screen. But a daily soap getting leaked before the premiere is something really shocking. Actor and producer JD Majethia revealed how the first episode of the show got leaked on YouTube.
It turned out to be a bittersweet experience for the makers, as the leaked episode grabbed instant attention and garnered thousands of views within few minutes. JD revealed that it was heartening to see the overwhelming response of the episode, however, the leak, in no manner was ethical. After the information reached the makers, the episode was immediately pulled down. Meanwhile, speaking about the hardships of making a sequel, JD Majethia told PTI, “Sequels are not easy as they have already set the benchmark. Both Aatish Kapadia (director) and I took a call that if we are bringing Sarabhai and Khichdi again, we will have to work hard a lot on the script.
